I was in the US Navy but I have always admired my brothers in the Marine Corps. They understand what it means to be faithful to a cause. Semper Fidelis became the Marine Corps motto in 1883. It means always faithful. It guides Marines to remain faithful to the mission at hand, to each other, to the Corps and to country, no matter what.
That is what Deuteronomy 6:5 is telling us. As Christians, we are to be totally sold out, always faithful, to the Lord.
