Offer your bodies as the living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship – Romans 12:1b
First, note that worship is a verb or action word; it’s something you do. Worship is a response to God. God initiated the relationship and we are to respond. God does many things which we learn about in the Bible, in books, in sermons, etc. Here, we are talking about what we do in response. In a broad sense, everything we do can and should be considered worship if our life or action is in line with what God desires for us. In 1 Corinthians 10:31, Paul says, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Everything we do that honors God is worship. Being a man of character, loving your neighbor, providing for your family; all of these things are worship when you respond to what’s in front of you, in a Godly manner.
