At first glance, the idea of a talking about Warriors and Battles on Christmas is a little odd right? But God’s idea of a battle and how to go about fighting is very different from ours. He begins with a little baby born in a barn, and from there, He changes the world. It’s the ultimate winning battle plan. And it’s His plan.
It’s a good reminder for today. I have to admit, I have a tendency to get a little too self-focused today. With all the presents to open and all the food to eat, it is so easy to lose focus on God and think about the next cookie I want to try or how to spend my Guitar Center gift card.
Christmas can feel like a battle sometimes! This verse reminds us that there is a bigger battle going on and God has it under control. We can have peace and comfort knowing that God’s plan will win out in the end.
