Why is it that obedience makes a father’s heart glad? There are those days where my children rebel at every turn. It’s painful to watch and hard to manage. But then there are those days that makes a father proud when your child, without prompting, simply obeys without question. Those days bring me such joy.
So too with our Heavenly Father. When we follow His commands set forth in His word, or when we choose to live as Christ did, we bring him such joy. He oozes with pride. It’s in obedience that I can almost hear him say “Well done my good and faithful servant”. I ache to hear that from my Father with all my soul. Do you? If so, obey.
Real men love their Father through obedience.
