Coming up with a fix

The art of listening is one of the toughest things to learn and do. I catch myself looking at people speaking but my mind is not focused on them. I am coming up with a fix for what they are saying before they’ve even finished.

And I do this with God. He speaks and my mind is somewhere else…or on myself. I try and fix my own problems without Him. I have a better and easier way of doing things, His way is not fun and it’s a lot of work. Like the verse says “be still” that means we need to slow down in order to listen.

Real Men are Slow to Speak and Quick to Listen.

Scott, Kellie, Cole and Elissa Mitchell have live in Fishers, IN. Scott currently works for Marriott Hotels as a Director of Engineering. For the past 16 years, Scott has taken on active role in Men’s Ministry, by leading a weekly Bible study, and assisting with the youth in many capacities.
