Title: The Test

I will not deny my integrity. – Job 27:5b

My son looked over my shoulder and asked, “What is integrity?” Have you ever tried explaining it?

It took me a bit to line up my thoughts. I told my son, “Something with integrity won’t break easily, so if we are talking about a person, then it’s someone who doesn’t move away from what they believe in.”

He thinks for a moment. “So, it’s like stubbornness, but in a good way?”

“Yup. I think you’ve got it.”

I hope and pray that my son will grow up to be a man of integrity. As he grows in the Lord, I can see his beliefs and convictions taking form. One thing is sure: for him and all of us, the tests will come.

Real men are stubborn but in a good way.
