Is the word “passion” used freely in today’s world? People often say they have a passion or strong beliefs in things but change their minds too often.
Christian men must give themselves the intensity to know Christ Jesus. We’re to be passionate in doing so—not just in learning about Him but in knowing Him personally, more profoundly and intimately. This is not a passive relationship but an active and engaging one. Like every other relationship, we draw closer to Him through time spent in conversation. That takes prayer (when we speak with Him) and Bible study (when He speaks to us). That’s why we should open our Bibles every day and pray regularly.
