Title: Spiritual Workout
The Lord is the Strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. – Psalms 28: 8
I started lifting weights and running a few years ago for health and stress reasons. It worked, and I could see the results. Then 2020 hit, and I realized I had drifted away from my workout program. It showed up in my health and stress, and I could tell I had lost some physical strength. Even now, if I miss too many days, it is a struggle to get back into the routine.
I have also seen this happen with my spiritual health and strength. I miss a day of prayer or being in the Word, and then one day turns into two, and the next thing I know, the effects become evident.
For the LORD to be our strength, we need to be in the Word, and we need to stay in constant communication with Him. It has to become a routine part of our day. If we don’t, we become spiritually weak, which becomes very attractive for the enemy.
Real Men find their Strength in The Lord with His word and prayer
