“You can’t handle the truth!” The classic line uttered by Jack Nicholson as he sat on the witness stand in the movie A Few Good Men. The truth can hurt. Truth can be used for conviction. Truth can pierce the soul. Truth has the rare ability to shine light into the dark. What is it about truth that is so freeing? Think of a lie you have held or believed that eventually was exposed in the truth. That exposure may have hurt you, or someone else, but what about the freedom that came after that lie was exposed by the truth. It feels so good. Chains loosed, burden cast off, and the ability to walk in freedom.Seek the truth in God’s word. Live the truth in your walk with him. Speak the truth into those you walk in life with. That truth will set you, and others free.
