Set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. – 1 Timothy 4:12b
Many years ago, my wife and I attended worship in Orlando. While serving communion, I reflected on the vocabulary I used to get my children to worship that morning, which led to a Nickname I gave myself: “Stage Christian.”
Realizing the example, I was on the surface. What do examples mean in faith? We can find responses in scripture, such as showing examples in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. As Christians, we must understand that being a positive example in our relationship with God should be all of the above. There is a distinctive alignment with all those traits.
