Set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. – 1 Timothy 4:12b
Do as I say, not as I do. Is that a phrase you uttered in your life? Why? Do you act differently at church than you do for the rest of the week? Tony Evans once said that 150 years from now, someone in your family will repeat something you said or do something you did. Does that thought bring you comfort or fear? It’s a difficult question I know, so we must fight to act and speak in such a way, so without a doubt, we can say do as I do. It is only when we begin living Christ-like lives that we will be an example for those around us. Not too late to correct the course, guys.
