Title: God’s Children
Till I die, I will not deny my Integrity – Job 27:5b
Spiritual integrity is the state of being undivided and the quality of self-honesty. It demands a considerable depth of self-awareness and an uncompromising willingness to be authentic. This is a definition I read online, and yes, it can be like a heavyweight shot to the gut.
Whenever I am self-reflecting here, it is always a wake-up call. The different hats I have in life- Christian, Husband, Father, Friend, and employee- all challenge my spiritual integrity, and yes, I recognize that, in all these hats I wear, my Spiritual Integrity should be the same. I had lunch with a Pastor Friend and had this discussion about integrity with all these hats, and his response was eye-opening: he said, “Don’t forget to be a son also.”
As men, we must be sure of our integrity; being one of God’s children is an important part of that.
