Title: Let Him In

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. – Deuteronomy 6:5

You can’t love someone without first letting them in — all the way. Too often, we keep people at arm’s length as a way to protect ourselves from pain and disappointment. “If they knew me, they would probably move on.” This type of posture puts us in positions where we can never really see the rewards of an intimate relationship.

God doesn’t move on. He asks us to give him everything, to let him in completely. And then he waits.

Here’s a quick prayer for today: “God, if I’m holding anything back, please let me know so I can give it to you.”

Real Men love God with all they have.
