Friday // Steel :: Passion

Title: Internal Check

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. – Deuteronomy 6:5

We have all shown a passion for something or someone, and we know that feeling. But when we check ourselves internally to feel and see that same passion in our walk with Jesus, do we see it in our loved ones? The events of 2020 renewed my passion for my faith. I pray and hope it does not go out, and I look to my faith, accountability friends, and family to stoke that fire. One way to keep our passion vibrant is to build small habits into our daily routine: set aside a moment in the morning or evening to pray, spend a few minutes listening to worship music, or take time each week to share a testimony of what God has done. Reaching out to someone for encouragement or reading a favorite verse can reignite enthusiasm when we feel spiritually dry. Whatever you do, work for God, not men. So, whether you eat, drink, or sleep, do it all for the glory of God. Where your passion is, your heart will be.

Real Men have Passion.

Bill Reilly

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
