Title: Good Friday

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength – Deuteronomy 6:5

Did you ever have a really bad day? How bad was it?

1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

Jesus was betrayed by a friend.

Jesus was arrested.

Jesus was denied by another friend.

Jesus was tried and unfairly convicted by a crowd.

Beaten by a group of Roman soldiers

A crown of thorns was attached to his head.

Made to carry a heavy wooden cross for between 15 and 30 minutes (1/2 mile)

Mocked and spat on by the crowd who watched

Then nailed to this cross.

Stabbed with a spear

Stripped of clothing and left hanging till dead

Oh, and he asked his father to forgive them.

How was your bad day now!

Real men kneel, ask for forgiveness, give thanks and praise for what his death means to our sins.

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
