Col. Nathan R. Jesse, the character Jack Nicholson played in the movie “A Few Good Men,” shouts out the famous line “You can’t handle the truth!” Could he be right? It could mean we may not like the truth, or that we are wrong, but the truth can be revealing.
The freedom part of the verse is what is interesting, right? When we accept and live by God’s truth, it comes with freedom, and when we are open and honest about our reality, we are set free. We can trust that when God reveals His truth, it is always to show us what is best for us. His best.
