Freedom is fought for; we discuss it and are wired to desire it. We want to live free from so many things, but the kind of freedom Jesus is talking about is freedom from sin and freedom to serve God. This freedom doesn’t come from works or tasks; it comes from our relationship with Christ. When Jesus lives within us, and His truth is our compass, we are liberated from sin and death. Through the Holy Spirit, we need to hold on to His teachings in thought, prayer, word, and deed.
