A few years ago, I went to Disneyland with my family. At one point, they were all off doing something, riding rides, shopping, whatever. I sat on a bench under a shade tree in the middle of the park for a moment. On Main Street. A big draft horse strolls along, pulling a trolly full of tourists.
As I watched, I thought, “What would that horse do if he was set free from that trolly?” I think he’d take a few tentative steps, and then he’d be off and running, kicking up his heels and being a real horse.
That’s the picture of the truth setting us free. Jesus makes us ourselves.
Real men know the truth.
