Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. – James 5:16
What do you talk about when you and your buddies get together? How well you did at your last golf game? How is your team going to do this season? The steelhead that got away?How about where you failed to obey God? How you sinned against your wife or your kids, or the hatred you are harboring toward your boss? There’s nothing wrong with the former, but you need to also deal with the latter.
When you get together with your buddies, pray for each other. Be real, go deep, be transparent. Don’t just skim the surface. It can be scary, but it will make you closer as brothers in Christ. It’s what we are called to do.
Real men get real with each other.
