Title: Final Authority
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; – Proverbs 3:5
After His crucifixion and resurrection, just before Jesus ascends into heaven, He reminds us that “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matthew 28:18). Not just some authority, but ALL of it. In other words, Jesus is in charge. He is sovereign over everything. And because He has complete authority over the entire universe, you and I can trust Him with every detail of our lives.
We don’t have to be in control of our lives anymore because He is! All we need to do is learn to trust Him, and that begins by praying and telling Him that we recognize His authority. It also means confessing that we believe He can handle the details of our lives better than we can.
Do you believe that? Do you believe that Jesus is the final authority in the universe? If you do, stop trying to control every detail of your life and trust Him with those details today!
Real men live like Jesus is in control.
