Mon // Surrender :: Idols

Title: Money, Money, Money

Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them. – Jonah 2:8

The struggle with materialism is real and we need to work hard to make sure money doesn’t become our idol. It’s tough to stay humble and enjoy a simple way of life or even share with others. But if we fix our eyes on the riches we have in Christ and understand that those last forever and money is only temporary then we won’t be caught up with material things.

A quote I read by Billy Sunday – “The fellow that has no money is poor. The fellow that has nothing but money is poorer still.”

Real men lay down their idols.
