We traditionally see idols as objects, but what about “time”? Picture time like an entire pie; it is ours to divide up. We cut a piece out for our family, we cut a piece out for our work, and we cut a piece out for ourselves. These three alone can take up most of the pie. Now who gets the rest of the smaller pieces? We protect that “time” and decide each day who will get our time and how we will divide it up.
As we enter the workweek and start planning our time, we must place God in everything we do. When God becomes the center of everything we do, we get to experience His work in our lives. We miss the blessing if we give Him a smaller sliver of our precious time. Once God is at the center of our lives, time moves out of “idol” status.
Real Men Make God the center of their time.
