Title: First Commandment

Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them. – Jonah 2:8

I am a true American and have often shown positive interest and respect for our founding fathers. In today’s crazed world, we need Faith and God more than ever. What is God thinking of America? Next are a couple of known facts. First, our forefathers recognized the importance of religious freedom, the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It guarantees that the government will neither prefer religion over non-religion nor favor particular faiths over others. Now let me refer to another book most men are familiar with, the bible and the first commandments. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make yourself an idol, and you shall not worship them. The debate over our founding fathers has me thinking.

Real men  Only worship God.

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
