Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them. – Jonah 2:8
Do you want what you want when you want it? That’s our flesh, not the Spirit. Are you envious of what someone else has, feeling you deserve the same thing? If so, that’s our flesh. They never thought about themselves being their own idol. Still, it stands to reason that if we focus more on our wants and needs and not God, that fits the definition of an idol.
Surrender your wants and needs and seek what God wants and needs for you.
Real men Surrender to God’s will.
