In your mind, imagine a brick wall. That wall is made up of two items: bricks and mortar. In our walk with God, beliefs are like bricks. Each truth, fact, and doctrine is like a brick in a wall. But bricks need mortar and obedience is the mortar that builds a strong faith. A wall of just bricks will crumble, and a wall of only mortar has no strength. That is why beliefs and obedience are essential for building a lasting and solid faith.
