Title-Obey and Revive
This has been my practice: I obey your precepts. – Psalm 119:56
A.W. Tozer said the following of obedience
“If we cooperate with Him in loving obedience, God will manifest Himself to us, and that manifestation will be the difference between a simple Christian life and a life radiant with the light of His face.”
Notice he said cooperate, meaning not with the fear of punishment but the anticipation of revival. I want to recapture the awe of God I’ve lost, and to enter a life obedience to God will no doubt allow me to do that. I’m in the middle of this revival by obedience, and it’s both challenging and exhilarating. Guys, if you’re in a funk, give obedience a try. Be forewarned that obedience will undoubtedly lead to a painful cleansing, but to have the Living God show Himself to you is well worth the pain.
