Text: Safeties On
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. – Proverbs 16:18
In the movie “Hunt for Red October” there is a Russian sub commander that turned the safeties off of the torpedoes he was firing at a Russian sub that was trying to defect to the United States. In his chase he fires a torpedo and it misses the target and comes back around and the sub he is commander of blows up. He was warned what could happen by those around him and he ignored the warning. Guy’s don’t turn off your safeties for any reason, this prideful move will cause you to fall. God has warned us of the enemy’s tactics and we can’t be prideful and face them on our own. God is our unfailing safety but we have to allow him to be and not ignore the warnings.
