Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. – Proverbs 16:18
The story of Pharaoh and his pride is a prime example of standing your ground even when your wrong. The wooden staff carried by Moses caused Pharaoh to lose face and look silly and this angered him to no end. Pharaoh even tried to go head to head with God with his own magicians, he just could not accept defeat. He dug in his heels and it cost him dearly.
If your hung up on anything because of pride let it go, don’t let pride win or it could cost you dearly. Remember God gives grace to the humble.
