Title: Don’t Forget

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. – Proverbs 16:18

When things are going great in life, we tend to forget about God, don’t we? We get to a place where we think we can handle life on our own; we believe we are doing an adequate job managing our life, why do we need God’s help anyway? This was the warning God gave the Israelites as they came out of slavery in Egypt: Don’t forget about me when things are good. It depends upon me for everything. I will never leave you or forget about you. I want to live in a relationship with you forever.

Why do we walk away from God during the good times in life? How can we prevent this from happening? When we stay tuned into our relationship with God, He leads us and guides us through the good times and not-so-good times. How could you express your complete dependence upon Him today? How could you communicate this total dependence to your family and those closest to you?

Real Men surrender their pride to God.
