Title: Formal Confession

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. – James 5:16

I remember how formal confession was growing up as a Catholic, a formal day of the week, and you were not allowed to take communion unless you did go. You went into a private confessional and spoke with Father. You typically were given a list of prayers to pray for after the confession. It was very private and formal. How do we confess our sins today to God? Are we very traditional? Do we pray afterward? Do we have an accountability partner so we can be open and honest about our sins and not be judged?

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
