Title: Mutual Confession

Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. – James 5:16

James teaches that when we confess our sins to each other and pray together, we can experience both physical and spiritual healing. Confession helps lift the weight of unresolved sin and allows the Holy Spirit to work more freely in our lives. Sharing our struggles with someone else in the church is important because hidden sin can make us feel alone. Confession helps break the hold that secret sin can have on us.

Since confession is a shared act, those who listen also have an important role. If someone confides in you, respond with love and pray for them, rather than offering advice, gossiping, or telling others about it.

If you are struggling with sin, reach out to a friend and share it with them so you can begin to heal.

Real Men confess to each other.
