Title: I am sorry
Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective – James 5:16
The words’ I am sorry’ are not always easy to say, but when we are hurt or offended, we want the words spoken as a sign of acknowledgment that we messed up. When the words are spoken, there is an expectation that all is good, and both parties can move forward.
I often catch myself telling God I am sorry for my sin. God is not looking for an ‘I’m sorry’; He is looking for us to humble ourselves before Him, confess our sins to Him, and repent, changing our course. God has already covered the ‘I’m sorrys,’ now He is looking to change our habits, to wash our hands and purify our hearts.
Confessing to each other offers accountability to changing course.
Real Men: Seek forgiveness.
