Monday // Surrender :: Confess

January 5, 2026Bill Reilly

Title: Go deep

Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. – James 5:16

For most men, confession of sins is not at the top of our list, unless this sin is in front of us or exposing us. While scripture does not specify how often we should confess, James suggests that we confess not only to God but also to one another, and that we pray for one another. Since many of us sin daily, we should seek daily forgiveness. Find that one you can be open with about your sins and not be judged. As men of faith, we must not only have that one person, but we must also be that person for others. John suggested confession to help keep us walking in the light.

Real Men confess to one another.

Bill Reilly

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
