Title: Surrender is not weakness
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Prov 3:5
A lot of men do not struggle because we are lazy. We struggle because we are trying to carry things we were never meant to control.
We want to control the outcome. Control the timeline. Control the people around us. Control how we are seen. Control what happens next.
But Proverbs 3:5 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding. That sounds simple until life gets uncertain. It is one thing to say we trust God when everything is working.
It is another thing to trust Him when the plan changes, the money is tight, the relationship is strained, or the answer is not clear yet.
Surrender is not weakness. It is not passivity. It does not mean we stop leading, stop working, or stop taking responsibility.
It means we stop pretending we are God.
A man can work hard, make wise decisions, seek counsel, and still hold the outcome with open hands. That kind of surrender takes strength. It takes humility. It takes faith.
