Title: Money the Master
Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them. – Jonah 2:8
People check on their money all of the time, myself included. We check our bank accounts, our stock, and 401 (k) s. Why? Because money is important to us. We spend time and energy following our finances.
When money becomes our master, then God can’t be, and money becomes the idol. It can sneak up on us very quickly.
Now, in scripture, it says God owns everything; in that case, we are to be good stewards of His money. It is not ours. So if we view our role as a manager of His money, this will relieve the pressure of money becoming our idols, and it will keep God in the center of our lives.
Real men Master the money for God.
