Title: Faith and obedience go hand in hand

This has been my practice: I obey your precepts. – Psalm 119:56

We all live in a world where we must obey, whether it is a parent, a boss, a law, or law enforcement, so the question for us men is: what percentage of our daily lives do we obey his word and the scripture? Most often, if you are like me, you have a low percentage. What does God say about obeying? Scripture states, “Faith and obedience go hand in hand. God has made many promises through the words of obedience, so that all of us can live a scripture-based life, which is the prescription. If we obey what HE says and apply it to our lives, then God’s promise is that we will be saved, that he will watch over us, and that he will provide us with what we need. “Men don’t confuse need with want.”

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
