Title: Obedience is protection
“This has been my practice: I obey your precepts.” – Psalm 119:56
A precept is defined as “A guiding principle or rule that is used to control, influence or regulate conduct.”
One example is the Ten Commandments. God gave these commandments to protect and guide His people, offering them a moral compass.
The Bible offers many examples for us if we are willing to listen and follow its guidance. We should read it, take its lessons to heart, and be ready to obey. This is for our own good and protection. It is reassuring to remember that God always wants what is best for us.
