Title: The shield of pride

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. – Proverbs 16:18

In times of uncertainty or the unknown, fear can set in. When fear sets in, I think pride can become a shield to hide behind. This shield becomes the defense mechanism to avoid what is really in front of us. This is when bad decisions can be made. These are not the times when we can afford bad, prideful choices.
The one constant we have is our Lord. The word TRUST was in last week’s Man Card blog, and it’s perfect today and every day. There is no need to hide behind a shield of pride out of fear, but trust in the Lord. Proverbs 3:5

Real Men: Trust God over pride.
