Title: Blinding Pride
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. – Proverbs 16:18 NIV
Pride- a noun that describes happiness, perhaps from an achievement, it can also be a barrier to admitting a mistake. “Warning men,” while pride can be a feel-good or a protective image decision, we learn in Proverbs that surrendering our pride is an act of humility, an acknowledgment of our humanness. Humbling ourselves can be humiliating; this essentially summarizes the sin cycle that we, as men, all face. Pride blinds us to our need for God.
