Title: The great mistake

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. – Proverbs 16:18

The greatest mistake we can make with evil is to underestimate its power to influence. Satan is very active, working hard to affect us. One way is feeding our egos.

Arrogance can creep in so easily. For example, success at work or just life in general, we forget how we got there. It is easy to feel humble when we feel like we are failing, but it is easier to be credited when things are going well. We forget to thank God for the blessings we have, and we focus on ourselves. This will leave space for Satan to come in and continue to inflate our egos.

Men don’t let the enemy have that space. We need to check our pride daily and acknowledge God for all that He blesses us with.

Real Men check their egos.
