Fri // Steel :: Truth
Title: Moving Target Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. – John 8:32 I love target shooting, but I also like skeet and sporting clays because, in skeet and sporting clays, the target is moving. In our current culture, the truth has become a moving target. Godly men know […]
Thu // Warrior :: Weapons
Title: Don’t fight empty-handed Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. – Ephesians 6:11 Imagine facing a battle with zero weapons? Imagine your backyard hadn’t been taken care of for a year, and you had to clean it up and had no access to […]

Title: Examples at all times Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. – 1 Corinthians 11:1 “I’m not paid to be a role model; parents should be role models.” – Charles BarkleyYou’re right Charles; you’re not paid to be a role model. But you should be one anyway. And so should you and […]
Tuesday// Fuel :: Prayer
Title Just pray …pray continually – 1 Thess 5:17 Have you ever run out of gas? I have. I just wasn’t paying attention to my gas gauge and the next thing you know the engine just stopped. Continually watching to see how much gas you have is not something you do automatically. In fact, it’s […]

Title: Headfirst right into a light pole! Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. – Proverbs 3:5 As seniors in high school, a few friends and I were walking briskly down a busy street. We were on our way to see a movie, and we were cutting our time close. One of the guys got something in his eye and grabbed the nearest shoulder. “I got something in my eye!” He said. “Just keep walking!” With his head down, he wiped his eyes with one hand and kept the other on his friend’s shoulder for guidance. He trusted his friend to get him to the movie theater. BONG!!! He went headfirst right into a light pole! We all laughed, but the trusted friend was not a perfect guide. We are fortunate to have a God that we can trust through the many different situations we find ourselves in, even when we have our eyes wide open! Take a moment to vocalize to Him this morning. Say it out loud. “Lord, I trust you today. I will follow your lead.” Real men Trust the Lord
Sun // Sacrifice :: Stand
Title: Stand for the right thing Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58 What profound truths or convictions do you stand for? When […]

Title: Words are Powerful Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up. – Ephesians 4:29a Your words have power. Power to build up or tear down. The most unwholesome talk doesn’t come in the form of “bad words” but in any word being […]
Fri // Steel :: Integrity
Title: Integrity disarms lies Till I die, I will not deny my Integrity. – Job 27:56 Has anyone ever told a lie about you or accused you of something you are innocent of? How did that go? Did your Integrity crack under the scrutiny, or was it polished under pressure? All kinds of things can […]
Thu // Warrior :: Courage
Title: No need to live in fear Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power – Ephesians 6:10 Today’s bible verse is so appropriate for the world we live in today. I don’t know about you, but the unknowns are tiring and discouraging. It seems every corner we turn, there is more […]
Wed // Grit :: Character
Title: Encouragement builds Character Do not be misled: “Bad Company corrupts good character.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33 I love hanging out with the guys, but frequently we tend to one-up each other with better jokes, and sometimes those jokes cross the line. Maybe you have experienced this with the guys you hang out with. I wonder what […]
