Title: Closeness to the Creator
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up. – Ephesians 4:29a
Man is born with a desire for closeness to our Creator. Man also has a need to build. It didn’t take long for man to try and combine these two. The Tower of Babel, Solomon’s Temple were all built by the hands of men in attempt to get closer to God.
Then Jesus came. He taught us that our body is a temple. He spoke words of love and encouragement to everyone. He told us to do the same to gain that closeness.
Building one another up with words of encouragement brings us the closeness with our God that we desire and authenticates the love that Jesus shared.
Real Men build each other up.
