Title: Top of the list
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up. – Ephesians 4:29a
In marriage, family, workplace, or with your friends, is honor and respect at the top of the list? For me, sometimes, when I am upset or get hurt, it’s very easy for my words to become dangerous weapons and not helpful or encouraging at all. Today’s scripture is very direct and a good reminder that even in these times of hurt or being upset, it is possible to still show kindness, honor, and respect still. It’s not easy, but it can be done.
