Most of the people you come into contact with daily are dealing with discouragement on one level or another. Discouragement feels like a weakness, so people keep it hidden. But the truth is all of us could use a bit of daily encouragement.
Some of us just need a smile or a side hug. Others need a bit more. Maybe help with a project like finishing a deck or putting in a sprinkler system. Here are a few other ideas. Giving a listening ear, show an interest in someone else’s hobby, treat a friend to lunch and ask him how his family is doing, and then pay attention. And still some guys need a swift kick in the pants! Now that’s encouragement!
Who will you see today that might need a bit of encouragement? Think about a specific person and have a particular plan. Who is it? What will you do?
