Title: Pride is discouraging


Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” – Hebrews 3:13a


Is your first instinct to defend yourself and prove you’re right? If so, that’s our flesh. It is not the Holy Spirit. Are you struggling to apologize and admit you’re wrong? That, too, is our flesh. These actions are discouraging to others and prideful. The Spirit’s desire is for your pride to decrease and for the humility of Christ to grow instead.
Humility is encouraging for people to see.

Real Men Have the humility to encourage.

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
