Title: People Keep It Hidden

But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” – Heb 3:13a

Most of the people you come into contact with daily are dealing with discouragement on one level or another. Discouragement feels like a weakness, so people keep it hidden. But all of us could use a bit of daily encouragement.

Some of us need a smile or a side hug. Others need a bit more. Maybe help with a project like finishing a deck or putting in a sprinkler system. Here are a few other ideas. Giving a listening ear, showing an interest in someone else’s hobby, treating a friend to lunch and asking him how his family is doing, and then paying attention. And still, some guys need a swift kick in the pants! Now that’s encouragement!

Who will you see today that might need a bit of encouragement? Think about a specific person and have a particular plan. Who is it? What will you do?

Real men encourage each other.
