But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33
We are in continues pursuit of happiness and looking for the one thing that can make us happy. We have examples of the people with fame and fortune, lottery winners etc… thinking that money and wealth can buy that happiness. This way of thinking can lead us down a dangerous path of doing and trying anything with no happiness as a result.
Today’s scripture gives us all we need. Leading a quiet life lived for Christ alone will give us all the happiness we need. So our time and attention should be focused to seeking Jesus and our joy should come from serving Jesus. Doing this He promises our happiness is guaranteed.
Real men seek the righteousness of God first.
