But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well – Matthew 3:13a.
Interestingly, it is in our DNA to seek a more stable and meaningful life for ourselves. Looking back in history, there are many examples of this. People are sailing and looking for new lands, folks packing up and heading west to stake a claim or to prospect for gold, to name a few. Good intentions with these adventures, but for all that risk and work, does it fill the void of comfort and structure. Possibly for a while, but no promises.
Today’s verse comes with a promise and no risk. Seek God and His will, and you will have comfort and structure in your life.
Real Men: Seek and obey God’s Kingdom.
