But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33
People are in continuous pursuit of happiness and looking for the one thing that can make them happy. We have examples of people with fame and fortune, lottery winners, etc., thinking that money and wealth can buy that happiness. This way of thinking can lead us down a dangerous path of doing and trying anything with no joy as a result.
Today’s scripture gives us all we need. Leading a quiet life lived for Christ will provide us with all the happiness we need. So, our time and attention should be focused on seeking Jesus, and our joy should come from serving Jesus. By doing this, He promises our happiness is guaranteed.
Real men seek the righteousness of God first.
