Title: Avoid risk management
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33
Leading up to this verse, Jesus said, “Don’t worry about tomorrow.” Most guys I know worry about tomorrow. We worry about work, family, finances, temptation, etc. And in response, we make choices that are less about trusting God and more about managing risk.
Risk management shapes what we buy, where we go, how we get there, whom we trust, and what we share. While we must practice wisdom and discernment, we must also avoid the lies and choices that call us risk management over trusting God.
Jesus doesn’t call us to risk management. He calls us to seek His Kingdom and his righteousness above all else. Do it. Don’t think about doing it…that doesn’t count. It matters if you do it.
What is God asking you to trust him with? What risks is he asking you to take?
Real men seek the Kingdom first.
